I will be in Amsterdam early April 2012, visiting my daughter and family who are on sabatical. I will be with them 10 days and enjoy museums and the tulips and gardens. What is the best museum card?
In your case the Museumkaart would be the best deal. It costs 45 euros and is valid for for 12 months, and can be used throughout all of Holland. It can be purchased at any participating museum: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Museumkaart
Can I give it to my daughter when I leave?
If my memory is holding up, they put your name on it the card and you have to sign it. So I guess not.
An older post mentioned that Ann frank museum was included in this pass. True or false?
I did buy the museum pass and was required to put my name and date of birth on the card, although after that, I don't think any of the museums even looked at my information. Yes, the Anne Frank house was included on the museum card, in fact I bought one there for my daughter. There are many museums included on the card throughout The Netherlands. We enjoyed the Castel Muidenslot in Muiden, and it was included.
It was a nice feeling to be able to go into a museum for just a short period and then come back another day.
