We are staying in Amsterdam 2 nights before returning home. What area should we stay in and any suggestions for hotels?

How much are you looking to spend? Personally I like to stay in the middle of the action in the Dam Square area. For budget hotels check out the RHO or Avenue Hotels.

hi, you can try using "booking.com" and go from there. Ive stayed near Vondel Park, Westcord Fashion hotel and the Artemis. they were all good places to stay and each was further from the center of town. I wanted to try them since they are close to transportation to the airport and a bit nicer then older converted houses. happy trails.
