Hi Folks, I'll be spending two nights in Hoofdoorp NL later this week before going on to Breda on business most of the following week, and I'm looking for a few winter-friendly things to do in AMS this Friday afternoon/evening and Saturday. I have been to AMS before but it was in early summer. I've seen the Anne Frank House, the Verzetsmuseum, many churches. I don't participate in any sports, but can enjoy watching them. I see both the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh are closed for renovations, and I will go to the Stedelijk, but I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of other things they have enjoyed or know will be happening this weekend? Thanks for your input!

The rijks museum is open. The main building is closed, but the annex is open and all top art works are on display. The van gough has temporarily moved to the hermitage museum.
Thanks, Michael - that's a relief to me, as I haven't had the opportunity of seeing the Rijksmuseum before, and wanted to send a colleague to the Van Gogh.
You're welcome. Also check out the Iamsterdam web site for any concert/shows during your stay. The boom Chicago improv comedy club is fun also
