we will be Riquewihr for 3 days with our 2 children. Any thoughts on things to do with a 16 and 12 year old? And can Mom and Dad still sneak in wine-tasting?

The Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle which you can see on the hill from that area sometimes has re-enactments which were fun.

There's some stork refuges in the area, not sure exactly where, but I'm sure you could Google it. Along the animal theme, there's a place called Monkey Mountain that, seriously, is a mountain full of monkeys roaming freely. And there's also a place called Eagles' Lair that does falcon shows.
