I'm planning 3 to 4 days in Alsace in mid may and am looking for a pleasant, clean, but reasonable bed & breakfast or small hotel
We spent 4 days in Alsace in Fall 2006 and based ourselves out of Colmar. Stayed at Chez Leslie in Colmar, wonderful bed and breakfast. In a quiet neighborhood, near the train station, and just a short walk into the center of Colmar.www/chezleslie.com. She is American, had been married to a frenchman. She was a wealth of information, very interesting to talk to, breakfasts were wonderful, rooms very comfortable and spacious. Highly recommend her bed and breakfast. If you have any other questions about Alsace, I'd be happy to help if I can. If you are into wine at all, we have a name of an excellent guide who will give you a short course on Alsation wines, take you up into the vineyards, taste wines from those vineyards and take you to meet some of the producers.
