Allemann in Germany

This is just a quick explanation for those of you traveling to/through Germany in or before June of this year. Germany will be going totally grazy again in June because of the Eurocup which we expect to win! One of our Euro 2008 slogans this year is "Allemann!" which is a word play on the Latin (e.g. French, Spanish) word for Germany (Alemania, Allemagne). Alle Mann in German means "all men" or "everybody". So if you're looking for a unique souvenir that's only gonna be available in 2008 look for shirts, hats etc. stating ALLEMANN!

That's cool Andreas--thanks for the update! I hope Germany does well in the Eurocup--it's an exciting time to be in Europe!

Sharon, thanks. It was even more exciting being here in 2006. For a time span of 4 full weeks I've partied with hundreds of Englishmen, Swedish, Mexicans, Brazilians... even French (the only nation whose fans don't speak sufficient English when abroad) right here in downtown Frankfurt. Anyway, statistically Germany will be among the Top-3 of this tournament. But then again, who ever cares about who scored 2nd or 3rd during a football worldcup, Eurocup... or an American football Superbowl event...
