anybody know if shops, restaurants, tourist attractions will be open on saturday nov 1st since it is a national holiday. we will be in port at palma de mallorca from 8am to 6pm. thanx

Restaurants should all be open, as well as some tourist-oriented shops. You probably won't find any open museums, although you could visit a church or two. You might also wish to pay a visit to a cemetery (Be respectful, remember 1st Nov. is memorial day.) to see how the Spaniards treat their dead. According to their websites, both the Caves of Drach and the Soller Train will be open to the public. Enjoy your stay.
