Do you need to purchase tickets to the Alcazar in Seville in advance, like you do in Granada? If so, where do you purchase them? I will only be there for one day.
No.
No need to worry about advance purchase tickets for the Alcazar in Seville. We took the tour with Concepcion, as recommended in Rick's book. Her guide was really great. You can wait until you arrive to make reservations with her company. They also do a good walking tour of the town. We loved Seville. Have a great time!
No need for advanced tickets. But plan on spending half a day; it's huge and just about as amazing as La Alhambra.
Carol,
This was our favorite site in Seville. If you're going in the summer, try to get there early because as the day wears on it gets busier and hotter! Save some time for the gardens, too.
Suggest 1/2 day at a minimum. You can purchase tickets there at the door. Only reason I did not get in -- The King was there on the day I wanted to go in, and I was not invited.....Oh, well..founds lots more to see and do.....
We just returned from a month-long tour of western Spain and Portugal and were very impressed with Seville. The Alcazar is great and we walked right up to the ticket booth and purchased tickets to enter. We spent two days in Seville and wished we had taken at least one more day, partly because it was raining off and on the entire time there. Don't spend all of your time at the Alcazar because there are many other great sights to see in Seville. Have a great trip!
