Airfare US to Amsterdam/Germany in Sept

best fare I can find via Kayak is $1044 per person via Us Air for mid Sept.
Seems high to me but wondered I should wait or book now?

About three months ago I booked Seattle to Amsterdam for $1250. Your $1044 sounds good to me.

Hey, John. Sadly, I'm starting to think about a thou's the best price that will be available for this fall / early winter (out of PHL, I presume). I keep looking for a little dip or a special short-term promotion, but have seen nothing significant so far. I've been checking US Air and Lufthansa repeatedly for a variety of dates for September, October, and November, and i keep getting about the same each time i search, whether for PHL to FRA or to AMS. Sorry not to be the bearer of some really good news ....

I'd grab it John. That's not a bad price at all! Have a great trip. September/October are wonderful months.

After labor day I would expect to pay $700-$800, from Newark to most points in western Europe. I think you can do better.

Just a few years ago, it seemed flights out of Philadelphia usually cost about the same as flights out of Newark or JFK. More recently, though, that doesn't seem to be the case - flights out of PHL are more, sometimes by several hundred dollars. So, if you could get a ride to Newark or JFK (EWR also has a train station), see what your trip would cost out of those airports. But, as always, remember time, money and hassle. It's not worth saving $100 on airfare, only to spend that much money plus several extra hours to get to JFK (I've seen people forget this little detail). It's already July - I doubt airfares are going to go down for September (of course, no one knows for sure).

I did a little bit of search, try tripadvisor, from JFK to Amsterdam found airfare under $700 tax included, Aer Lingus and we love them. Of course layover in Dublin and you have to get to JFK, gas tolls etc and not sure what parking costs but check it out. Good luck.
