I am looking for suggestions relative to air travel from CA to Spain and return. While in Spain we will visit Barcelona, Madrid and Seville. Is it best (cost wise and ease of travel wise) to fly into and out of Madrid (or Barcelona) or fly into say Madrid and depart from Barcelona? Suggestions and your experiences would be appreciated. I would suggest flying into Barcelona, then the AVE train to Madrid about 3 hours I recall. Then to Sevilla also by the AVE train, 2 1/2 hours and back to Madrid.

I second the motion! The AVE trains are wonderful and HJ's times are correct. And you are going from city center to city center, which makes them very convenient. buy your tickets 60-62 days in advance of travel to get the Web fares, which are 60% off (i.e., Barcelona to Madrid for 47 euro instead of 117).
