We are flying LA to Sydney with a stop in Tahiti to stretch our legs. Does anyone know about seating on an airbus 340? I finally got a diagram and switched our seats from over the wing to just behind the wing. Which would be a nicer ride? We are now in 36 A&B. Thanks for any help.

You won't be able to notice a difference in the "ride" between seats over the wing and seats just behind the wing in an Airbus 340. There is, in theory, a very small difference but you won't be able to perceive it except perhaps in your imagination. You would notice a difference in the ride between seats over the wing compared to seats in the rear of the aircraft. Behind the wing you can see a bit more, but on an over-the-ocean ride that doesn't much matter.
