Air France Shuttle or other option

Hotel offered to book a car for $95 for 4 people from CDG Paris. Air France Shuttle looks cheaper. Problem is it looks as if they stop only in certain places. One of our group has difficulty walking. Will they drop at a hotel or do you have to take a cab from drop off point? Other better option?

Air France bus will not deliver you to your hotel. You could use a shuttle service such as Paris Shuttle (www.paris-shuttle.com) but they would charge you 16 euro each for 4 people. So what does 64 euro come to in US dollars? And you would be in a van with others who also need to be dropped off at their hotels. If you could get the 4 of you plus all your baggage in a taxi it would cost about 50 euro. It begins to look as if the hotel's car at $95 isn't too bad. Just a thought: Are you sure their quote was dollars not euros?

You know something....you have a point there.....probably they said $95 Euros. I called the France Tourist Bureau in NYC and looked again at the Air France shuttle website......I think the air france shuttle is the best bet.......but there is also the Roissy bus at $8.50 E......don't know much about that. Thanks for your response.

If you really want to be frugal, you can take the RATP Bus No. 350 right from CDG to Gare du Nord and it will only cost you 3 tickets each, under 5 euro. Then you could get a cab to your hotel. PM me if you want to know exactly where to wait for the bus. We do it all the time. Think of the good bottle of wine you could buy with the euros saved.

Sure.......I would definitely be interested in knowing where to wait for bus......then we can decide what we want to do.......that bottle of wine sounds pretty good. Thanks for all the info.

In many trips (particularly taking shuttles and taxis from CDG into Paris) I've develped an appreciation of how important the trip from and to the airport (or train station) is at the beginning and end of a trip. I factor the cost of a shuttle or taxi into my fixed costs. Getting to my hotel or apartment afer a long flight is vitally important to me. I book a shuttle or cab for this purpose. I don't see the value of slogging suitcases (even though I pack light) on the RER, metro, or bus then having to catch a cab or walk a lot to get to final destination. It just isn't worth it to me. I don't want this experience.

BG: I understand your point completely and luckily for you, since you don't want the experience you needn't have it.

NANCY: For Terminals 2A & 2C, wait outside Door A9. You will see a sign with the bus no. on it.
For Terminals 2B & 2D, wait outside Door D11.
The buses run about 3 times an hour.
