We will be a week in Sarlat. Then we have another week before we head home. Any suggestions??? We have been to Arles, Aix and Lourmarin Lizzie from Boston
Just to keep this an all-Boston thread (so far), I echo Adam's suggestions. Assuming you're renting a car, you could loop down to Albi and Carcassonne in the Languedoc, and take in some Cathar sites: Rennes-Le-Chateau, Peyrepeteuse (sp?). Then you could continue up and catch more more of Provence: Nimes, Pont du Gard, Orange, St. Remy, etc. If you rent thru AutoEurope/Hertz, you could return the car at Marseilles airport and fly home from there.
How are you getting home? There is a week's worth of good stuff (at least!) between the Dordogne and Languedoc and Provence. (Yes I see you have been to Provence, but I'll bet you didn't see all of it). From there you can fly home from Marseilles or even catch a direct TGV to Charles deGaulle. Option 2 is south to Languedoc ending in Barcelona, fly from there. Finally you could head north to the Loire and Paris.
After Dordogne, we're headed through Saint Cirq Lapopie, then on to Puycelci, near Albi. A woman from NJ has a restaurant and small hotel there
