Have checked all the places in Rick's book and they're either too much $ or taken. Anyone have any experience with a place in Lyon? We'd prefer something with character, but would settle for a sterile hotel if we had to. thanks.

I've stayed in Centre international de séjour (http://www.cis-lyon.com/3/4.html) once with my frinds. Mostly for groups, but they take also individuals, mail them and ask for prices.
Quite fine, not a hotel but more a youth hostel, simple but clean.
