You should be able to find something at this site:
www.interlaken.ch
When I stay in Interlaken I usually stay here:
www.lotschberg.ch It's a little over your budget at 65 Euros a night- off season. If interested, you will get a better rate booking it via Expedia.com The rates they show own their own site are higher for some reason.

The higher price may include taxes and VAT as well as breakfast.

Check out the website www.interlaken.ch Up towards the upper left corner, click on EN for English. Under lodgings, there were many options including hostels/hotels. They quote prices in Swiss Francs--not Euros. Interlaken is a large, popular resort area. Kind of touristy, too. I'd prefer to stay in Murren--a short distance away in the Swiss Alps. Have fun!

I can share with you our experience and hope that helps.

We stayed in Interlaken in August. We were there for the Alps and in hindsight wished we had stayed in them - In towns like Murren/Wengen/Gimmelwald/Grindelwald/Lauterbrunnen

We stayed at Swiss Inn B+B for 80 Euros a Nite which was well ran and clean but I acknowledge its over your budget

Ricks Europe 2007 Book does a Full Bit on Gimmelwald that is very in depth with cheaper places to stay.

Depending on your intentions. If you are not interested in the Alps there are also other cities nearby that may not overcharge for being tourist centers. All sorts of connections into Interlaken Ost/West

Good Luck

I would suggest Lauterbrunnen, Murren or Wengen. We stayed at the Village Hostel in Lauterbrunnen for 6 nights....it was awesome. Double bed room is CHF 35.- / € 23.- (Euro. There is a kitchen and the rooms are immaculate. All of the villages including Interlakken are just a few minutes away.

Lauterbrunnen is a good bit more attractive and simple - and cheaper, perhaps - than Interlaken. That last rec for the Lauterbrunnen hostel is a good one - but I think it's called the Valley Hostel.
