Advise outside paris

We'll be driving outside Paris for 3 days in Dec.. Thinking of Loire Valley area towards Mont St-Michael then back to paris. We're thinking to stay 1 night in the Loire Valley area and i night around Mont St-Michael before returning to Paris. Welcome advise: is this a good plan? any tips?

"1 night around Mont St Michel"

Many travelers on this forum enjoy spending the night on the Mont, not somewhere merely near it, and that's what I'd recommend you consider doing.

Many travelers choose to spend two full days (or more) in the Loire Valley. So maybe your 3 days total is one day short of the best trip for you.

Also, Alice--trying not to be compulsive here, but it looks like you'll be doing your trip planning using the internet and you'll have better luck on the internet if you pay attention to the correct spelling of place names (I'm looking at your other post, as well). We love you even if you get the spellings wrong--but you'll have better results with Google if you get the spellings close.

alice,

One thought that occurred when reading your Post is that driving in December may not be the best idea, depending on the weather. There have been some horrific storms at that time of year, and given your home location I'm curious on your experience with driving in icy / snowy conditions (with a rental car that may only have all-season tires)?

Good luck!
