In Oct we will have a car, starting in Granada. We are booked for 2 nights there and will drive to Tarifa where we are booked for 2 nights, spending 1 day in Morocco, the next morning whale watching and then driving to Seville. We then have 3 days to work our way up to Madrid for 9 a AM departure.
Any suggestions for other places to stay or check out on our drive to Madrid? Our should we spend 2 1/2 days in Sevelle? Thanks, Jim
Before getting to Sevilla, you might want to stop in Cordoba. We took the train to Cordoba as a day trip and really enjoyed it. You could spend 2 and a half days easily in Sevilla. It is lovely.
Thanks! Having the car opens up the oportunity to see more, but there is so much to see, and spending more time in fewer towns might be better on our first visit.

Other than Cordoba, I don't think there is much to see between Sevilla and Madrid. You might consider spending some time in the white hills instead.
Seville is great, Cordoba definitely worth the side trip. You might also want to stop in Jerez de la Frontera for some Sherry tasting. When you travel from Granada to Tarifa, go the land route via Ronda - a spectacular must see. Skip Malaga/Marbella etc.
