We will be 3 nights in Granada, Spain in March. I'm looking at all of the hotels online, and would love some advice or reviews. We are mother and adult daughter. We'd love to experience some charm and "views" but want to be economical and comfortable. Any good word?
We absolutely loved the reasonably priced Casa del Capitan Nazari, a restored 16th century Renaissance palace (http://www.hotelcasacapitel.com). It was the perfect place (fantastic character!) to stay in Granada. How fun, taking a mother-daughter trip. (My daughters are 16 and 20 and we STILL have "Mommy-Daughter Days"!)You will really enjoy Granada.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Anacapri in Granada. It is recommended in Rick's Spain book. AND if you show your Rick Steves book, you receive their 10 euro breakfast for free. And it is a really hearty breakfast buffet (by Spain standards). It's in a great location as well. Lovely reception area and helpful staff.
I would second Arlyre's rec. We were just there during the first week of Jan. And Kathy who speaks Iowan was a great bonus.
Laurie - We stayed at the Room Mate Migueletes about a year ago. I don't remember seeing it in Rick's book but it has great reviews on TripAdvisor. The hotel is in a very old building that has just been recently restored. We had a nice twin room on the top floor and there is an elevator. They had a wine tasting in the afternoon and breakfast in the morning. There is even a living room off the courtyard with internet access. Enjoy Granada! Julie
Great! I'll look into these places.
