I know, I know, Rick's book tells all. I've read the book and haven't seen where advance reservations are necessary for any of the primary sights and museums. It would help ease my stress level if anyone can confirm that no reservations are needed and a Paris Museum Pass will get us in quickly. Merci!
He Speaks The Truth...;-) No stressing; it's not allowed! There will be lines, though - it's not always a straight zip to the door...For instance, at Sainte-Chapelle you will stand in a security line that can be long (or, not) but THEN you can go to the head of the line. But generally, yes it works as advertised. You'll feel a little self-conscious and guilty for walking past people, but you quickly get over that LOL! Bon voyage!
The Museum Pass lets you skip the ticket queue, which is usually significantly longer than the entrance queue, especially at more popular museums and monuments. It doesn't make much of a difference in smaller museums that see a slower trickle of visitors, or the tower of Notre Dame, in which has a limit on how many people can enter at a time.
