The British Institute in Florence, Italy offers month-long classes in Italian language and/or art history. There are many French language schools in Paris, but I have not found any that offer perhaps art history or French history classes for the traveler to combine with a language class. Looking for a month-long course of something! My retired husband and I are NOT going to enroll in "semester abroad!" Any ideas?
Check out the offerings from WICE: http://www.wice-paris.org/ You might also want to peruse the ads in FUSAC, but I'm skeptical you'll find anything. A quick internet search turned up this one: http://www.worldsbestlanguageschools.com/french_plus_art_history.html Never heard of it before, though.
Hi, Diane Try this link. http://www.paris.fr/english/english/learning-french/rub_8118_stand_33669_port_24606 Even if they don't have exactly what you want, may be they could refer you to other resources. Good luck.

Though it's not exactly what you requested here is an english immersion program for Spaniards, and you get a free week in Spain! What makes it unique is the "insturctors", they use native english speakers, people from England, Ireland, Australia, USA, etc. It's very informal, usually just one on one talking or listening to some speeches they have to give. And you don't need to speak spanish, in fact they prefer you don't. All you have to do is make your way to Madrid. Here is a link to their site. http://www.morethanenglish.com/anglos/aim-objectives.asp
That's a great tip Barry, thanks! I have a friend who will be very interested in this.
Thanks, Dina. WICE looks good and could work for us!
