Adelboden to Milan

We have a day planned to get from Adelboden to Milan at the end of July after spending 10 days in the Berner Oberland mountains. Any suggestions as what to do on way? We have a Swiss pass and have considered a sidetrip to Zermatt. Thanks.

Zermatt is great, if you have not seen enough of the Alps in the Berner Oberland, but it takes time to get there, and back, because of its location (check a map to see what I mean).
