Accomodations outside of Munich and Nurnberg

We will be in Munich and Nurnberg in August this Summer.
We will be driving from Vicenza, Italy towards Munich and needed some ideas re: good value accomodations and car parking? When we leave Munich we will head towards Nurnberg...
