We will be flying into Geneva from France, arriving around 4:30. I would like to get out of Geneva and go perhaps to Bern to spend the night. In October, when does it get dark in Switzerland(we dont want to miss out on the scenery from the train)? Would it be better just to stay around Geneva/Lausanne? Everything seems really expensive around there. Any suggestions?
