Having reviewed both Rick Steves' France book, the reviews at Trip Advisor, and the 'best and worst' postings on this site, I'm still torn about where to stay in Avignon. It almost looks like a B&B would be the best value. This forum seems pretty active and I've recieved some wonderful advice over the past week so I thought I'd try this question here too. What's a good mid-range bet in Avignon? I'm staying at the Hotel Relais Bosquet in Paris and Hotel d'Argouges in Bayuex (also recommended here) to give an idea of my price range and taste. Any advice would be awesome! Thank you!

Amy, how long are you going to be in Avignon area? My family is staying at the Mas St Antoine for a week in July on the road between Avignon and St. Remy. We are basing everything on recommendations from trusted friends and I can say that Pierre, the contact at the gite, has been extremely helpful and charming! Their website is www.massaintantoine.com. They even have pizza evenings by the pool and will have your first night's light supper waiting in your fridge! Good luck!
