Accomodations in Alsace (Riquewihr)

My husband and I would like to stay in Riquewihr next summer at a bed and breakfast or hotel for 90 Euro or less. Are there any recommendations? Thank you!

In 1998 we stayed at Hotel St. Nicholas in Riquewihr. It was a very nice place then, but that was 10 years ago. Not sure what kind of ratings it gets nowadays. It was adequate for our needs and reasonably priced. We stayed in Alsace three days and had a wonderful time. Enjoy!

Check out tripadvisor...8 hotels listed and 2 b&bs....looks like the B&Bs might be a good deal by the reviews...

The hotel St.Nicholas has not gotten very good reviews....

Thanks for the input so far! I also looked up a place called Le Bastion de Riquewihr, which is a bed and breakfast. There are no reviews for it though. Do you recommend staying away from places without reviews?

You will have to use your judgement...for me having reviews is just more data that helps with comparing alternative accomodations...however, I'm sure there are many fine B&Bs without web site reviews...

Thanks, Bill. I was thinking the same thing but just thought I'd get someone else's opinion. :) I'll keep up with my research on places to stay.

we stayed in Colmar this summer to visit Riquewihr and the surrounding area. Not a B&B but Hotel Etap Colmar which worked well for us with a car.

In 2004, we stayed at the Hotel Winzenberg, in the tiny village of Blienschwiller, which is close to Riquewihr. For 48 euros/night, we had a superior double. The room was good-sized, charmingly decorated, with a balcony overlooking the flower filled patio. A good breakfast buffet was included. The staff were pleasant and helpful. There's no restaurant, but you can get wine and snacks to enjoy on the patio in the afternoon. We considered it an amazing find.
