Accommodations in Burgundy (Beaune)

We are having some difficulty booking in the Beaune area May 4 to May7. Is that a particularly busy time inthis area. Is this a school holiday time? Please advise
Thanks Bill (Seattle)

Unless you really need to stay in a hotel in Beaune, I strongly recommend Hotel Le Parc. It's about four or five miles from Beaune in a very small village. Extremely peaceful and comfortable.

Bill, Please take my advise; Stay at the Ibis Hotel just outside the old city gates. Can walk to all the sites in Beaune. Go to TI and book wine tours and such. Down the road, away from the old town, is a grocery store with prepared foods(baked chicken) for a picnic somewhere. Beaune is Not very busy, visited there about the same time of year. Stayed three days at a hotel further out of the old city...bad move there. Went to the two wine caves...go to the wine cave away from the city center, "Patriarche" and ask for Mr. Gallette for a special wine tasting. Not to worry about schools and such. Burgundy is beautiful.
