Just planning a trip for next year. Myself and 2daughters. We want to spend a few days in Paris. A nice hotel. Then on to Avignon for a week. Want to stay in town close to everything. Any suggestions.

What's your budget for Paris hotel? My favorite is Hotel de Lutece on the little island east of Notre Dame, called Ile St. Louis. It's in the very heart of Paris. Wonderful hotel, wonderful neighborhood. You and your daughters will love it.

As you didn't specify a budget I'll suggest the Hotel Muget in the 7th arrondissement.
