In mid May, we are meeting friends in southeast France - actually 2 couples. We want to spend a couple of days with one couple and the town of Narbonne has been recommended. We then meet up with the other couple for a canal cruise on the Midi Canal - starting in Capestang. Would appreciate recommendations for hotel or gites in Narbonne or other small towns in the area. We will be travelling to this area from Amsterdam via train or plane.
