Hello, We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens). We will be visiting Freiburg for 4 nights in August. We want to explore Freiburg, Strasbourg, Colmar, and of course go to Europapark. Can anyone recommend reasonably priced guesthouses, pensions, B&B's, etc. that would work for a family in Frieburg im Breisgau (or in that area)? Our dates would be August 15-18 (4 nights). We will have a car. Thank you for any suggestions!

You should probably find yourselves an apartment. The best source of local accommodations are those sites operated by tourism offices and agencies in Germany. A very complete and excellent search engine in English for the BF region is this one: http://www.blackforest-tourism.com/uebernachten "Freiburg region" from the pull-down labeled "all regions" and enter your data. I did so and found several pages of options with availability, including one at this well-liked 2-BR apartment on the outskirts of Freiburg: Ferienwohnung Ackermann Am Mettweg 18
79111 Freiburg Price for 4 for 4 nights is 360€. Owners speak English. Most apartments have a 3- or 4-day minimum, or charge extra for short stays. I have always booked mine directly with owners with just my name as a deposit. Search other areas of the BF on the first site I gave you too. The Elztal and Markgräflerland are also close to Freiburg.
