We are a family of 4 visiting Germany in July. We intend to spend a night in Rothenburg, understand the Nightwatchman tour can not be missed, so where is best to stay in Rothenburg n order not to miss this. As for Fussen, we found Kurhotel Jakob, Filser Kurund Relax hotel, any pre-experiences with these hotels?
Lastly, Munich we intend to stay at DAlex at Kidlerstrasse, is this a very convenient to travel around? Thanks for comments and advises. Irene

any place in R'burg is fine for the Watchman tour. It starts at the town square.

d'Alex is not very convenient for walking to most sites, but it is a few blocks from an U-Bahn station (U6, Implerstrasse), which goes to Marienplatz and, with one change, to the Hbf.

We rented rooms above Cafe Uhl a few years ago and thought they were terrific. Robert was very nice, the cafe is centrally located and breakfast was included. It was our kid's (teenagers) favorite place of anywhere we stayed in Europe.
