Irene, I have not been to that area but check out tripadvisor.com. you can search by a map view of the area. it might help you get some ideas. good luck. greg

I would recommend Hallstatt and surrounding area if you're interested in going that far south. Otherwise, check the information on the lakes district from this link: http://www.visit-salzburg.net/surroundings/salzkammergut.htm
