Access to ile aux cygnes in Paris

We would like to see the Statue of Liberty here and it looks like you can walk along this island. Can we access it as walk from Eiffel Tower? Does anyone know of a bus that goes along this route via Eiffel Tower? Thanks

I got to it by going down a small, easy-to-miss stairway off the Pont de Bir-Hakeim, about halfway across the bridge. Wonderful tree-lined pathway on the Île.

Thank Rose, That's what I wondered. I was google mapping it but it wasn't looking easy. I will watch for that access. It looked lovely along there. :)

The statue is about a mile from the Eiffel Tower. Ile aux Cygnes can be reached from either a fifteen foot wide stairway from Bir-Hakiem or an equally wide ramp from Grenelle. Both are at center-bridge and descend toward the center of the island only.

LOL! How fortunate that some people walk around Paris measuring access ramps with a tape measure. We all benefit from such an eye for precise detail. Shelly, I'll DM'd you again with some additional info. I stumbled along there during my first trip to Paris long, long, ago, in a complete state of visual overload. It's surprising I didn't stumble right off into the Seine. DM coming soon.

Great info Ed. I never realized we could go down there. I'm usually so busy looking up at those windows of the apartment where they filmed Last Tango, that I've never noticed the access ramp down. Thanks again Shelley!
