Maja, there is a fabulous b&b called Das Dunas, in the tiny coastal town of Carrapateira. Apart from the cats which live in the patio, I don't remember seeing farm animals, but the home atmosphere can not be beat. The number is +351 282 973 118. The guy who runs the place is named Dani.
