Although I am a temporary resident in Madeira, I live near Cape Town in South Africa. I have not visited Lisbon as a traveller since 1989. I try to get to my house in Madeira as soon as possible. I am taking my sister with this time and it is her first trip overseas. We have six hours to spent in Lisbon! Taking a taxi into the city and walk around or take a city tour? What do we do and where do we go and how do we go around. Anyone prepared to be a tour guide? How much and what wll we do?

I'd suggest taking a taxi, about a 15 minute ride and 10 Euros, to Rossio Square. There's enough to see and places to eat in that area that you don't need to go anywhere else and it's all within walking distance. Try the Elevador de Santa Justa for a great view of the city.
