Could you send us a detailed itinerary which should include the Jungfraujoch mountains & would love if we can add in the waterfalls nearby .We are a group of 4 people 2 males & 2 females. Also suggest a decent & cheap accommodation for Saturday night(30th march). Also suggest which is the best pass to take for travelling as we are on a tight budget please suggest the best tour to do & also let me know how much will the whole trip cost. Looking forward for your mail Regards

Ashish, A few comments..... I assume your flight will be departing from the Basel-Mulhouse "EuroAirport"? It appears that you only have about 1.5 days for sightseeing (30 March and part of 31 March)? You'll need to plan carefully! As you're on a "tight budget", visiting the Jungfrau may not be the best choice, as that's expensive! Could you clarify which "waterfalls" you're referring to? For "decent & cheap accommodation", your best bet is probably a Hostel. It's "communal living" so less privacy, but they are about the cheapest. There are Hostels in Lauterbrunnen and Interlaken that you could use. Here's one Itinerary that might work... > Mar. 29 - arrive Basel, YMCA Dorm > Mar. 30 - train to Interlaken Ost / Lauterbrunnen / Jungfrau (and "waterfalls"?) - check into Hostel or Hotel and drop luggage before trip to Jungfrau - stay one night in Lauterbrunnen or Interlaken? > Mar. 31 - spend morning for a bit of sightseeing - take train from Interlaken Ost to Basel (travel time about 2 hours, a 14:00 departure should work). Take Airport Bus from Basel station to EuroAirport (ride is about 20 minutes, I believe). That should get you to the airport in lots of time for your 19:15 flight. I'd have to spend some time looking at the Railpass options for Switzerland, so not sure which would be the best Pass for your situation. You may want to click the "Railpasses" tab at the top of this page and check the information for Switzerland posted there. One other note - be VERY careful to ensure you have valid tickets on the Swiss trains. You may find it helpful to read This BBC article on the subject. Cheers!
Ashish, this board is not a travel agency, we are all just volunteers here who like to chat about our trips, and answer questions for others ( like yourselves) but we will not plan your trip for you, that you must do yourselves.
If you have specific questions many here can help by answering them from their own experiences , but they likely are not willing to work out your whole trip and the expenses. So your trip to Swizterland is 2 or 3 days, is that correct?
You could stay at the Valley Hostel in Lauterbrunnen. This is in th evalley and there are two big waterfalls, one righ tnear town. They don't have any 4-bed rooms left for 30 March, but you could book two doubles or twins for 33 to 38 CHF per person. http://www.valleyhostel.ch/pages/en/home.php If you are sure you going up the jungfrau then the pass you want is a Half Fare Card. Buy it in Basel for 120 CHF and then your travel from Basel to lauterbruennen, up the jungfrau, and back to Base will all be half price. Other Swiss passes only give you 25% off the Jungfrau trip above Wengen, so the Half Fare card is better. Make sure you bring warm clothes so you can emjoy being outside in the snow!
We should point out, however, that you are traveling around the time of year when the ski season ends, so many lodging and dining options in the mountains may be preparing to shut down for the shoulder season, if not closed already. I know that many posters here shun the idea of staying in Interlaken, but you may have an easier time finding cheap lodging here.
Interlaken is a perfect starting point. Easy little city to walk from train stations and very clean! Family hostel perfect! Loved it..."backpackers villa sonnenhof" very multicultural and family friendly. Right on edge of town. Food expensive so we bought at grocery store and made our own there. Lots of train availabilities to quickly get up to the mountains easily. Nice easy walking trails. Would go back in an instant!
