Looking for suggestions or itineraries for Barcelona to Cinque Terre. I've looked at different places and can't find much. We have previously traveled in Italy/France (Rome-Florence-Venice-Paris) but my wife and I loved the Cinque Terre region on a day excursion out of Florence. She has really wanted to travel to Spain so we're thinking of going to Barcelona and staying along the coast until we get to Cinque Terre (15 night trip). Any suggestions are tremendously appreciated. Here is what I'm thinking Barcelona area 4 days (train to Valencia?) Valencia area 3 days (train to Marseilles?) Marseilles area 2 days (train to Nice) Nice area (2 days)(train to Cinque Terre)
Cinque Terre (4 nights) Does this seem doable or an ok itinerary? Too much? Too little?

Your planning is fine. The trains from Nice to the CT are available and the train ride will take about 4.5hrs. Mostly intercity or Regionale trains on these runs so they are a bit slower overall. You will change trains at Ventimiglia (French to Italian trains) and also most likely in Genoa.
