Can anyone recommend any of the shuttle services that go to Cesky Krumlov?
There are several and the prices do vary a bit, and one even offers free beer in route! We will be going from Munich to CK. Thanks for any feedback.
I wonder if you meant car services or scheduled jitney vehicles? We used the private drivers mentioned by Rick Steves in his book and were very satisfied. Even though it wasn't his job, the driver got us tickets for the only English tour of the baroque theater that day-I felt a Czech speaker had an advantage at the ticket counter. (We did hire ? his brother-in-law ? for a two hour walking tour, which was good.) This was long enough ago that I don't want to quote the name. This was the same price (RT Prague-C.K. same day) as two big-bus tour tickets for the same trip. The ride was not scenic. But I should add that C.K. was a must-see for me, it might not be for others who've seen many medieval towns. I noticed that all the car services are eager to provide one-way trips between major cities, as you describe your needs. This sounds very attractive to me, but at my age we're no longer on a student travel budget.
Rachele, you may get more feedback if you post this in the Eastern Europe section. Also, no one asked.....and I may be breaking a Rick Steves Commandment .....but we enjoyed Cesky Krumlov more then Rothenburg.
