I have posted the question as to how to get to toulouse from cdg . While there are flights and trains, none fit into my timetable. I arrive paris 7am and miss the first plane at 7:25 and the second non stop is 9:50pm. Too long a wait. The trains seems to be the same. Does anyone know an intermediate stop we can make either by plane, train, or car(least favorite), spend the night, and then get to Toulouse the next day? Thanks Diane
We will presume you've done some homework and have been to several airline websites. You didn't post what dates you were traveling. I punched in a one-way non stop to Toulouse from CDG and Easy Jet in March on a Monday had a 8:35 am flight.
diane, where are you looking for your train connections? Not RailEurope is it? The reality is that there are plenty of trains all day. You don't say when you are going so I picked a random date of 23 January 2013. If you were to share the date we could be more sure. You can go with no changes from Paris Montparnasse in 5 and a half hours; Paris Austerlitz in about an hour longer also with no changes. To get these you do need to get to those Paris stations. Most trains don't go from the airport. Montparnasse - RER to Denfert Rochereau and 3 stops on either Métro line 4 or 6. Austerlitz - RER to St-Michel Notre-Dame change to REE C one stop to Austerlitz. Depart Paris at 7:55 (A) 9:28 (M)(TGV) 9:42 (A) 10:46 (M)(TGV)(1 change) 11:15 (Gare de Lyon)(TGV)(1 change) 12:27 (M)(TGV) 13:53 (A)
14:06 (Gare de Lyon)(TGV)(1 change) and 3 more which all arrive before midnight...
Thanks. But I do not have time to catch either flight mentioned. The 925 air france flight would be great but sold out. I have booked a 1245 flight which means a long airport wait but is best I can do. The train situation is not good because I would have to take luggage and that is difficult with so many trips, from cog to Paris and then on to Toulouse. While I don't pack too heavily, we are going on a cruise after a hotel stay og 6 nights, so have more than usual. Thanks to all who offered suggestions. This is a great site
