Hi everyone! I am on the fence between getting an apartment in Alfama for 100€ a night or staying in a hostel in Bairro Alto for 70€ a night (shared bathroom). For myself and 10yo, 11yo, 13yo, 17yo. The pro's to staying in the Hostel are price (it includes breakfast also). Not only having my kids to talk to (adult conversation). Location. I hate cooking and we can use the extra 30€ a night to eat out. The pro's to the apartment are not sharing a bathroom, not having to send my 11 yo son into the bathroom alone with God knows who to shower. Flopping down and napping in the middle of the day.
