8 hr layover at CDG - time to do anything?

Thanks to a friend's airline buddy pass, I'm flying into Paris, but need to get to Nice. My flight gets in around 10:00 and there is an easyjet flight to Nice at 18:10. Between going through customs and getting back to the airport for my 18:10 flight, I'll have at the most 5-6 hours max to kill. Is there anything interesting nearby that I could do to kill a few hours? I'm spending a couple of days at the end of my trip in Paris, so I'd be game for something outside the city that might be worth visiting.

If not, I'm thinking I should just hop on the first train to Nice and enjoy the scenery instead of sitting around an airport.

Thanks,
-- Amy

There is a TGV that leaves CDG at 11:43 and goes directly to Nice, arriving at 18:03. If your flight is on time, you should be able to catch that train.

Or take the RER B from CDG to Gare du Nord, transfer to the RER D, and take it to Gare de Lyon. The fare is €8.50.
Take the direct TGV leaving Gare de Lyon at 13:46 and arriving in Nice at 19:24.

Or leave CDG at 13:01, connect in Lyon, and arrive in Nice at 20:04.

I would hop the first train to Nice espec since you will be in Paris at end. Nothing really interesting nr CDG otherwise.
