Will be traveling Switzerland by train and was wondering what size luggage the lockers in train stations will accommodate. Also in Rick's guidebook, he mentions you can forward your luggage ahead to your destination where they will hold it(for a fee). Has anyone tried this and how well does it work? Thanks
Lockers will vary as to size and availability according to the station. But generally will hold at least one carryon size bag and a couple of extra items. Some will hold a big suitcase.
Thanks for the reply. Will be in Interlaken and Lucern stations.

Unless you're traveling with steamer trunks, or oddly shaped objects like skis, you are very unlikely to not be able to find an appropriately sized locker.
Thanks for the good information.
Most train stations have different size lockers and the cost goes up with the size with the size of the locker, so try to fit your luggage into the smallest locker possible without breaking anything. We had two roll aboard suitcases and two backpacks and easily fit everything into one locker at Gare de Lyon.
