My husband and I have 4 days to drive from prague to munich in rental car.. Any suggestions of route, places to stop and stay? We were in Rothenburg 25 years ago...loved it and would consider seeing it again or other suggestions?

Diane, the town of Marienbad on the CZ side is certainly worth a visit. Then Nuremberg and Würzburg are worth a day combined. And along the Romantic Road not only Rothenburg is worthwhile but also Dinkelsbühl and some other towns. And then eventually the city of Ulm's cathedral has got the world's tallest clock tower which you can even climb.

Diane - we used Regensburg as our stop on our way to Prague. It is a lovely town, good restaurants, river/bridge walk, cathedral, etc. I would have liked to linger a little longer than the one night.
