We're going to spend a couple of weeks in Normandy and Brittany with two or three nights in the Loire in May. We've been to Normandy several times (and enjoy it very much) but this time I'd like to explore Brittany. We'll be driving so mobility isn't an issue. If you've been there what do you recommend off the top of your head. I've read my guide books but real tootsies on the ground experience is always a plus. We are healthy and active but serious hiking is behind us (bad knee on my part). Any good B&B or self catering recommendation would be a real plus as well.
In Brittany, we enjoyed Carnac (main reason we went to Brittany!). Pont Aven, Quimper, and St. Malo.
Here is a link to the cottage we stayed in this past September: http://www.cottagesofbrittany.com/#top We stayed in Le Cidre, which sleeps four, though there were just two of us. We loved this place! Places we drove to from there include Carnac, Trinitie-sur-Mer, Port Louis, the Cote Sauvage, Auray, Rochefort-en-Terre, and Malestroit. (Not sure I spelled all those correctly.) They were all between 20 minutes and a hour away. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
