Can I take the cable car trip from france to Italy in March.
My sister keeps telling me it is only available in the summer months?

Your sister is correct.
I would love to make this trip too but I never go to Europe in the summer due to the huge crowds and higher costs.
The trip from France to Italy consists in riding three separate cable cars to make the whole trip. You can make the cable car trip up the mountain from Chamonix, France in winter, weather permitting, and up the mountain by cable car from Italy in winter, weather permitting. The third cable car across the mountains between the two operates only in May or June thru late September, and then only in good weather.

But if just getting to Italy is correct there is a bus that runs daily between Chamonix and (I forgot), italy.
