Has anyone traveled from Paris to Barcelona on an over-night train? Either the " regular" ( not sure of the name) overnight train with a berth/ compartment... or the Elipsos ( Hotel Train). From Barcelona to Paris the Elipsos is called the Joan Miro. Not sure if its the same from Paris to Barcelona. Experiences appreciated.
Carla OK, I am going to risk not answering your question. What is the reason for wanting to take the overnight train from Paris to Barcelona? If you want to save money while also saving time, you might want to explore taking one of the discount airlines, such as Vueling (discount of Iberia). They fly out of Paris Orly and into the main Barcelona airport. Often it is less money and takes only a couple of hours. The earlier you buy, the lower the price. Also, apparently there will be a new high speed train route between Madrid to Barcelona (already in existence) which will be connected to Paris in 2012. Might want to research this as well. Let us know what you decide and why so we are all updated on trains between Paris and Barcelona! Bobbie
