Hello We are a family of 4 arriving in Amsterdam early december. We need to be in Paris from 7/12/12 and thinking of 3 nights in Amsterdam, train to Bruges for 3 nights prior to our one month in Paris stay. Plan to stay in self contained accommodation. Need help on deciding whether split between Amsterdam and Bruges is a good idea - or maybe shorter stay in amsterdam and go to Paris via Germany?
Travel will be by train.

3 nights for Bruges seems a bit much. Less than 3 for Amsterdam seems less that optimal. Maybe 2 in Bruges and spend the extra day as a day trip form A'dam? Gouda, Haarlem, etc.
