Need Itinerary help

Hi, Ive one month in Europe in Sept. 2011. Am considering passes etc. My flight is into Amsterdam for 3 days with a friend then Northern Germany overnight visiting another friend. Then off to France and subsequently Spain. I'd like to visit Paris and envirions,Nice, and Marseille,etc.. Spain will be Madrid,Barcelona,Granada,Sevilla, and generally bumming around. Is this realistic? And if so could it be done in less time? Rail pass suggestions would be greatly appreciated Thanks.

I think you need to list the exact places you would like to visit. I'll be traveling around the same time and places as you. You should be fine as long as you make your list.

Hi Mel! Great you are spending a month in Europe! Now comes figuring out your itinerary. Keep in mind September is still high season in Europe. So hotel/hostel reservations will still be necessary unless you really want to wing it! In order for the Helpline to assist you, we need to have an idea of why you chose the locations you did, other than your friend's places. Also, what you like to do! Art museums, architecture, food, countryside, jazz, beer, outdoor adventure, etc. You get the idea. Try to match what you like to do with where you are going. You don't have to do a checklist of sights in the guidebooks or at least you don't have to spend a lot of time doing them. Also, you can do day trips outside Paris, Barcelona and Madrid to get a feel of the countryside. Cities are great but they do not represent all of a country's wonderful culture. Or you can take a short trip from large cities and settle down in a small town, rent a car and get lost! So give us more ideas of what interests you and you will get a lot of suggestions!
