We are planning to stay in Budapest for 2 days in July on the side of the river where Buda castle is. Does anyone know places where they play real hungarian music, gypsy music and serve traditional food?

On the Pest side there is a well known restaurant right near the river named "Matyas Pince" (Matthew's Cellar). The food is good and they have entertainment. Also, in the old Budapest section (O Buda), Buda-side north of the city, there is a restaurant named, Kehli (this one is a bit harder to find, more than likely you need a taxi, Matyas is easy to get to). We like them both - Matyas is more touristy, Kehli, too, but not as much. I may have the spellings wrong...Hungarian is tough! Both should be on the internet.
Also, on Castle Hill I am sure you will find this type of atmosphere.
