I'm moving to Seville Spain in January for about a year.
Have been offered a job. Has anyone spent any time there, either vacation or living, and how was it?

Sure, lots of people have been there as tourists. Enjoyed the city, but no idea what it would be like to live there.

Visited last fall and enjoyed the time greatly. Suggest that you mgiht contact David at Really Discover Sevilla Tours. I think he would have some information that would be useful.
