What is the best train route to get to Vernazza from Nice? and website to purchase tickets

Keith, The "usual" (only) train route from Nice to Vernazza will transit the border at Ventimiglia and then access the Cinque Terre via Genova. You'll likely have to change trains at Ventimiglia and Genova Piazza Principe (depending on which train you choose). I wouldn't bother pre-purchasing tickets, as you can easily obtain them at Nice Ville a day or two prior to departure. Also, you'll be dealing with two different rail systems (France and Italy), so not sure you'll be able to buy tickets from one source unless you go through Rail Europe (which can be expensive).
